Our farm shares are based on staples that you love, things you buy regularly but the “New” foods sprinkled in throughout the season are what keep it fun and adventurous.

Let’s be clear, new foods doesn’t mean weird foods. You won’t find organ meat, or bizarre vegetables in your share, but you will discover new things that become favorites.

Heirloom vegetables that you cannot find in the grocery, the flavor is unreal and stunning.

Baking with Lard, eating sweet salad turnips, making rich bone broths and stuffing patty pan squash…

All started as adventures in my kitchen that have turned into staples, that our kids request them by name.

Are you willing to waste some foods?

This question makes me cringe a little and I know our members hate to waste farm fresh foods too.

But the truth is, sometimes lettuce will go bad in the fridge, or a you will make a completely inedible meal.

I have been there, I still do it, we all laugh about those terrible meals. It happens, don’t beat yourself up.

You have to be willing to try a new recipe and fail, to learn and keep cooking.
